Western Reserve Trail Running

About Western Reserve Trail Running:

The mission of Western Reserve Trail Running is to promote trailrunning in the Northeast Ohio region through the development and management of new trailrunning events (races, fun runs and training runs) within local park systems and municipalities.

Located in:

Brecksville, OH

Where We Meet:

We meet through a series of Fat Ass races, training runs for our organized races but not in a regularly scheduled time or place.

Our Trails:

Northeast Ohio includes several local park systems with hundreds of miles of trails, including technical running/hiking trails, bridle trails, the Towpath Trail which follows the Ohio and Erie Canal, and near 50+ miles of All Purpose Trails (asphalt bike path) . The area also features part of the 1,400+ mile Buckeye Trail which traverses the State of Ohio. You can see a list of some great local trails in our area on our website.

Trail Races and Ultra Marathons We Organize:

The organization's first event was the 2007 Burning River 100 Mile Run held on August 7, 2007. This year's Burning River 100, a point to point course starting in Willoughby Hills, OH and finishing in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, will again be the USATF 100 Mile Trail National Championship.
